Angela Floyd is a problem solver who helps teams achieve goals and become better builders by providing financial and business improvement expertise. Serving as DPR’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and a member of the Leadership Team, Angela has helped to develop and implement best-in-class enterprise processes, metrics and financial controls that continuously improve service, quality and performance leading to organizational evolution, growth and stability.
A seasoned strategist with experience leading financial services, financial reporting and analysis, tax, treasury and internal audit functions, Angela and the Finance and Accounting team help guide DPR’s strategic growth and preserve its culture core by keeping the focus on being better rather than just bigger.
Angela began her career at a Big Four accounting firm followed by time spent at a nonprofit, an airline and a technology services company. In 2005, she began working in the construction industry and joined DPR in 2017. According to Angela, at DPR, she has truly found a company and a team that values what she values: A unique technical skillset, an ever-forward mindset, integrity in all actions, and above all, great people. She loves being part of a company that takes care of people and allows her to play a small role in the delivery of beautiful, highly complex, one-of-a-kind structures that support and better our communities.
As an industry leader, Angela feels strongly that we have an obligation to do things well and do them right, because of our ability to influence not only the construction industry but also other purpose-driven organizations. She has already seen the difference through events like Construction Inclusion Week, and DPR’s ongoing commitment to environmental health and safety and mental wellness.
Away from the office, Angela enjoys a variety of activities. Her favorites range from attending sporting events and concerts to exploring new places and traveling. She is also happy to spend a day on the beach, under an umbrella, enjoying a good book.
When I started in the industry, I quickly fell in love with the people. I’ve worked for many different types of 'service' organizations in the past – none have the family atmosphere I found in construction.
