Cari Williams
At DPR, who we build is as important as what we build. Cari Williams joined DPR in 1994 as the San Diego region’s 10th employee and followed an organic career evolution into people practices in 2006. Working in the technical side of construction, a world dominated by concrete and steel, Cari knew it was people that made the difference. Following successful roles as a project manager, a member of San Diego’s leadership team and People Practices, Learning and Development lead, Cari transitioned her focus to Social Responsibility in 2019.
Cari’s strong skills allow DPR to integrate and leverage diversity and inclusion (people), sustainability (planet) and community initiatives (philanthropy) to work towards the company’s mission of being one of the most admired companies by 2030.
Facts
- Role: Global Social Responsibility
- First Job: Working in an ice cream factory making popsicles and ice cream sandwiches in the middle of the summer in Toledo, Ohio. That job led to another summer at Nabisco making Triscuits in Oakland.
- Your Hero: My mom – she’s smart, talented, strong, resilient and changing the world.
- Best Vacation Spot: Istanbul – a very pleasant surprise at the end of an amazing trip with my mom and sister.
