Matt Hoglund

As a DPR Leadership Team member, Matt Hoglund supports DPR’s Operations, Strategies, and Integrated Entities. Drawing on his deep understanding of all phases of construction from budget inception to final occupancy, Matt fuses the right people, resources and entities, including self-perform work, prefabrication, supply chain efforts and other company-wide initiatives, to obtain the best results for our customers. 

Matt first considered a career in construction following a serendipitous conversation with a family member of his high school friend. A scholarship from a local construction company and a summer job sealed the deal, convincing him he wanted to be part of the building process. Matt has served in many different roles throughout his construction career, including as a project executive on retail, office and hospitality projects. He also served as Business Unit Leader for DPR in Austin and then was the Central Region Leader before moving into his current role.

Matt enjoys the pursuit & execution of construction, building and maintaining relationships with clients, as well as taking care of people so all teams work together well and enjoy what they do–which yields a high performing team. He views these as interdependent aspects of business. His strengths include problem-solving, adaptability and integrity, and he excels at integrating resources to maximize benefits for all by focusing on the big picture. “What I like to do is find ways to leverage the company’s strength, infrastructure and resources to get the most out of them and to push things past their perceived limits to best serve our clients.” He is passionate about empowering people, rewarding people for their accomplishments and helping to drive improvements across DPR that enable us to move projects forward at the rapid pace customers require. 

Away from work, Matt lives by the motto of “work hard, play hard.” He enjoys watching his kids’ games, volunteering, traveling and entertaining with his friends & family.
