People are what truly excite Rishard about his job. Getting to ‘hang out’ with friends during the workday and forming deeper relationships with people he admires help make his work intrinsically satisfying and ‘Enjoyment’ his favorite DPR core value. As a certified life coach, Rishard incorporates coaching skills daily. He loves having new opportunities with changing responsibilities that keep things exciting. We are all more powerful and capable than we give ourselves credit for and he is passionate about helping to find those opportunities that enable our people see that within themselves. Rishard loves watching and being a part of nurturing that growth.
One such challenge was life-changing for Rishard. Several years ago, after traveling extensively, he was ready to be home in San Francisco when he was asked to take on a new challenge in Utah. He wanted to go home, meet someone special and start a family, but he decided to accept the offer anyway and went to work on a large-scale, multi-year project. Despite his early hesitation, he loved Utah! The outdoors and skiing were wonderful, but mostly he loved it because he met his wife there. He is now happily married because he said ‘yes’ to that DPR opportunity that pushed him beyond his comfort.
