What's Happening at DPR

DPR's inaugural class of Healthcare Fellows recently kicked off an eight-month program. The program is designed to deepen health care industry knowledge and further develop leadership capabilities while examining opportunities to shape the market's future.
700 River Residential Tower topped out 25 days early, despite days lost due to weather. This 43-story residential tower with 3,000 sq. ft. of retail space in the Rainey Street District includes 377 luxury rental units, 17,000 sq. ft. of amenity space, multiple outdoor terraces, and 10 levels of parking with 385 parking stalls.
Ragan Communications recently recognized DPR as part of its Video, Visual & Virtual Awards. The winning video, which won in the Sizzle Reel category, was captured using first-person drone technology piloted by Indoor Drone Tours. Footage includes completed and ongoing DPR projects throughout Austin.
Only five months after the initial concrete pour, the McIntire School of Commerce Expansion Project at the University of Virginia topped out, two months ahead of schedule. The topping out was celebrated by more than 200 participants including craft workers, trade partners, architects, engineers and the McIntire School’s Board of Directors.
DPR recently celebrated the ribbon cutting for HCA Healthcare's TriStar Horizon Medical Center ICU Expansion project. The space includes 14 ICU beds with the ability to expand to 16, and multiple upgrades to the existing space. This state-of-the-art ICU will offer much-needed health services to rural communities outside of Nashville.
The AbbVie Von Karman SATCE project, DPR’s largest and most complicated self-perform deconstruction project to date in Southern California, used four skid steers and 20+ carpenters/laborers to perform deconstruction on over 45,000 sq. ft. of office, lab and mechanical space, with the intention of creating a new state-of-the-art lab.
The University of Central Florida celebrated the groundbreaking of the Dr. Phillips Nursing Pavilion – the future home for the UCF College of Nursing. DPR partnered with UCF, HuntonBrady Architects and Ayers Saint Gross to render a virtual walk-through of the state-of-the-art teaching and research facility.
The Phoenix Children’s Hospital Multipurpose Clinics Phase 1 team achieved substantial completion, despite the challenge of working adjacent to and above an active hospital. The team delivered this project on time and under budget thanks to careful phasing plans and close coordination.
The Butler Hospital team recently celebrated topping out the 25-bed, 15,000-sq.-ft. short stay psychiatric unit renovation. The unit is designed to accommodate multiple distinct patient populations, achieved through flexible pod systems to ensure that access to care isn’t impacted by physical space limitations.
Embodying the project's "One Team" culture, the Authenticity Garden at UC San Diego's Hillcrest campus has become a place where teammates can connect over shared interests. The garden has an assortment of vegetables, fruits, and herbs such as cherry tomatoes, Chinese eggplant, zucchini, celery, strawberries, bell peppers, thyme, mint, rosemary and much more.
The CA2 team was recognized with a Vision Award for North America by the project's owner, Vantage Data Centers. This annual award celebrates partners who establish an exemplary safety culture, effectively reducing environmental, health and safety incidents to zero on projects and jobsites.
The 27,000-sq.-ft., 400-seat theatre at the Sonoma Academy Performing Arts Center obtained Temporary Certificate of Occupancy. The supporting actor’s studio includes green rooms, costumes, changing rooms and incorporated scene shops.
