Building Great Things in the Southeast and Texas
Acquisition of Atlanta-based Hardin Construction Co. accelerates growth in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Texas, adds team of talent bringing number of professional staff and craft up to 500+ regionally and 3,000 nationally
With a shared passion for customer satisfaction and complex projects, DPR Construction and Hardin Construction joined forces in April through an acquisition.
Operating as DPR Hardin Construction in Atlanta and DPR Construction nationally, the combined company includes more than 2,000 projects completed over 67 years throughout the Southeast and Texas. The acquisition also strengthens operations, adding employees as well as offices in Tampa and Orlando.
“We’re excited about what this means for our customers and employees,” said Russ Brockelbank, new regional manager of DPR Hardin Construction in Atlanta. “Our presence is stronger, our roots run even deeper, and our experience is unmatched.”
Along with Brockelbank, who is leading the 120-person DPR Hardin operation in Atlanta, the following are a few other new names and faces added to the DPR team:
- Page McKee, regional manager in Tampa. With more than 35 years of experience, McKee oversees Tampa operations, which includes the completion of the largest corporate office campus in the area for Nielsen Media Research.
- Scott Lyons, regional manager in Orlando. Leading the Orlando office, Lyons brings 20 years of experience to DPR’s Florida operations, including a 1.2 million-sq.-ft. resort in Bay Lake and a 525,000-sq.-ft. tower in Lake Buena Vista.
- Matt Hoglund, project executive in Austin. Joining DPR’s Regional Management Team in Austin, Hoglund is currently working on the 1.2 million-sq.-ft. JW Marriott Austin and a more than 400,000-sq.-ft. mixed-use complex.
- Matt Murphy, business development in Austin. Beginning his career as a project manager, Murphy transitioned to a business development role when he helped open Hardin’s Austin office in 2008. He has helped build the operation into a more than $100 million business that is now integrated with DPR’s Austin office.
