DPR Construction’s Singapore team has been recognized for its unwavering commitment to workplace safety by winning the Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Council of Singapore's Silver Award for the second year in a row. The award celebrates DPR’s dedication to maintaining the highest safety standards in the Asia-Pacific region’s construction industry.

"The safety and health of our workforce is always top-of-mind,” said Kmiel Kannan, DPR’s environment, health & safety manager. ”Our Singapore team includes teammates who have come to work with us from all over Asia. We believe that every one of those teammates deserves to go home safely at the end of each day.”

The WSH Council Award is given to companies that exhibit outstanding performance in managing and promoting a safe workplace. By winning the WSH Silver Award two years in a row, DPR is eligible for the organization’s Gold Award in the future. Being recognized with even the Silver Award is no small feat; it requires firms to consistently meet rigorous safety criteria while demonstrating exemplary practices through comprehensive safety trainings, regular safety audits, employee engagement, and by fostering a culture of safety. This award recognizes DPR as a leader in WSH amongst industry peers.

“Our commitment to stringent safety protocols, continuous training, and upholding a culture of safety, health and wellness, not only protects our employees but also drives success, reputation and trust in the industry,” Kmiel said. “Safety is not just a compliance requirement at DPR; it is the foundation of everything we do.”
