When it comes to higher education facilities, how attainable is net-zero energy?

During the Florida Educational Facilities Planners’ Association, Inc. 2015 Summer Conference, Mouji Linarez-Castillo and Nick Ertmer joined other industry leaders on a panel to discuss sustainable design and construction strategies, and lessons learned from prior campus projects.

Among the key points made, the panel discussed how change starts early. The discussion underscored the importance of the industry advocating for sustainable options. Another hot topic was the consideration of human impact on sustainability, which highlighted the fact that the next phases of green building will be as much about people as technology.
