With analysts predicting anything from a 6-month to a 2023 recovery for supply chain disruptions, our prior “just-in-time” supply chain is not a reliable way to deal with a global crisis. We can combat some of the material rate escalation and attempt to avoid as much inflation as we can, but we must work collaboratively as owner, designer and builder to ensure that we are sourcing the right materials, purchasing at the right time, and engaging the right partners for each project.
