DPR Construction Selected to Build New RTI International Building
DPR Construction, one of the nation’s top commercial contractors focused on highly complex and sustainable projects, today announced that it has been selected by RTI International, a nonprofit institute that provides research, development and technical services to clients worldwide, to build the organization’s new building in Research Triangle Park, N.C.
The project includes construction of a six-story, 190,000-sq.-ft. office building, featuring a 300-person multipurpose space, collaboration center, kitchen/dining space and heritage center. A four-story parking structure with approximately 650 spaces will be constructed adjacent to the office building.
“We’re thrilled to be a part of this project that will create a new center for RTI as a collaboration space and workplace on the campus, as well as a central point for welcoming visitors from around the globe,” said Nick Ertmer, Business Unit Leader for DPR Construction’s North Carolina region.
The project is located in the center of RTI International’s campus. Construction is expected to start in September 2016, and the project is being designed by Duda | Paine Architects.
