The Gloria Drummond Physical Rehabilitation Institute project involved a 33,280-sq.-ft. design-build renovation and new addition at one of the hospital’s main campus facilities. This multi-phased project consisted of exterior upgrades, all new interiors and MEP systems throughout the existing Davis Therapy Center, including the existing leased space for other tenants of the hospital, plus additional internal departments of the Home Health Services group.
Project Scope
The Gloria Drummond Physical Rehabilitation Institute project involved a 33,280-sq.-ft. design-build renovation and new addition at one of the hospital’s main campus facilities. This multi-phased project consisted of exterior upgrades, all new interiors and MEP systems throughout the existing Davis Therapy Center, including the existing leased space for other tenants of the hospital, plus additional internal departments of the Home Health Services group. The project scope involved the expansion of an aquatic program with a custom therapy pool addition along with new exterior canopies, entrances, driveway/drop-offs, and re-routing of the existing traffic patterns plus expanded parking on-site.
The programs available to patients include speech therapy, assisted daily living, neurology, musculoskeletal, cardiac rehabilitation, physiatry, wound care, aquatic therapy and diabetes treatment.
DPR was awarded this project without competition and completed the Women's Health and Wellness Institute at the hospital in June 2015 with the same design team. The DPR team self-performed drywall and ceilings.
