Booker Software’s new workplace includes 10,000 sq. ft. of open office space with exposed elements and various uses of technology throughout. LEED® Silver certified the exterior relies on floor-to ceiling-windows to allow natural light to brighten the office. The exposed ceiling gives the office a contemporary feel with traditional ceiling panels to address acoustic needs. Tectum panels and pendant lighting provides varying vertical dimension and room separation of the large space.
Project Scope
The open office environment fosters collaboration and creativity, with a chalkboard wall at one end of the office is great for sketching ideas. The spacious kitchen and break room are complete with a ping-pong table, arcade pop-a-shot basketball game, bar-top tables for impromptu meetings, and other kitchen necessities. A number of large conference rooms are scattered throughout.
This design-build project required substantial collaboration between the design team and DPR to meet the fast-track schedule. Moving from one SkySong location to another and involving move-out / move-in and staff additions, work was successfully completed on an expedited eight-week schedule to meet the client’s new move-in date.
