Crosstown Center Phase II

Crosstown Center Phase II | Tampa, Florida

DPR Construction was selected to construct Phase II of the Crosstown Center state-of-the-art office campus. The project is located off the Lee Roy Selmon Crosstown Expressway in Tampa, Florida. The project includes a five-story, 260,000-sq.-ft. core and shell office building with a seven-story, 1,260 space parking garage, and an 80-foot, fully enclosed pedestrian bridge. The bridge provides connectivity between the third floor of the office building and the fourth floor of the parking garage.

Project

Details

The Z-shaped design is a steel structure with concrete tilt-wall exterior panels. The new office building and parking garage are designed to aesthetically blend with the adjacent, existing campus. The team utilized extensive logistics planning and work interface notices to exceed expectations in protecting the employees, facilities, and business on the existing campus.

The office building has a central core with a mix of tilt-wall, curtain walls, punch windows, and storefront systems. The team utilized laser scanning for innovative quality control on the tilt panel construction. Shop drawings for tilt panels and all embedments were modeled and overlayed with the scanned point cloud to achieve zero defects prior to casting the panels.

Green

Features

The core and shell portion of the project is pursuing LEED Certification through various design and construction credits, including using daylight in the space and recycling 75% of construction waste into four separate waste streams. In addition to being selected for the construction of the Phase II core and shell office building, DPR was awarded the tenant interior build-out package for this project, making it a cutting edge, call center based center for a national financial and insurance services provider.
