Through the team’s previous experience working with the client, its consultants, and other educational institutions in Singapore and abroad, DPR was awarded the interior fit out of Curtin Singapore’s new 5,500 square metre campus at the Alpha Building, Singapore.
Maximizing the Use of
VDC Tools
Completed within a period of 5 months, the new campus spans across 3 floors and is comprised of classrooms, office, seminar room, library, collaboration spaces, IT labs, and nursing labs. DPR’s scope included advance mechanical works, structural works (internal stairs and slab opening), partition, ceiling and doors, floor finishes, joinery, loose furniture, signage, AV and teaching aid technology, and associated MEP works.
Throughout the project duration, we provided 3D scans of the space as weekly visual updates to keep our international client informed of the construction progress.
In addition to providing the Navitas Singapore team with regular updates, DPR also provided us with updates to our head office back in Australia via 3D progress scans. These 3D scans allowed our Australian head office to constantly monitor progress, without having to fly into Singapore and these highly accurate and clear 3D scans, added to our cost savings.
