DPR was appointed by Global Switch, the leading owner, operator and developer of large-scale, carrier and cloud neutral data centres in Europe and Asia-Pacific, to provide BIM/VDC management services for a new world class 25,000-sq.-m. data centre located in Singapore.

Details
In the earlier stages, we commenced providing the overall management of the model development by the main contractor, who adopted Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) techniques to drive a high quality, productive and safe project delivery. DPR leveraged their long track record as a contractor in developing mature modeling process flows, BIM Execution plans, templates and work standards.
The detailed management of the model development facilitated off-site prefabrication of the precast concrete structure and the internal MEP infrastructure services and ensured the contractor delivered an accurate final As Built model to meet Global Switch’s requirements.

Services
The services started with preparation of Global Switch’s clearly defined requirements for inclusion in the RFP for contractor selection. These changed the review of the BIM Execution Plan and monitoring, tracking and reporting on model development for progress, and compliance with Global Switch’s requirements. DPR managed each Level of Development (LOD) specification from design phase through to the final As-Built model at the LOD 500 standard suitable for FM.
