The Morehouse School of Medicine Billye Suber Aaron Pavilion project includes a 12,500-sq.-ft., two-floor addition with a garden roof and partial renovations to the existing Library at Morehouse School of Medicine. The concrete and steel structure includes all MEP systems, metal panels. storefront, hardscape, landscaping, interior meeting spaces, along with some classroom areas.
Details
The structure includes several collaborative learning spaces, as well as a large open lounge area on the first floor. The school now utilizes the space for student study groups, faculty meetings and to host several campus events. The President looks at this addition as being the new face of Morehouse School of Medicine. The addition will also tie-in to the current first and second floor Hugh Gloster Renovation.
The project also includes the renovation of 4,929 sq. ft. of Gross Anatomy lab space, including demo of entire interior and build back of partitions for lab storage, locker rooms and interior lab space. Scope includes upgrading MEP systems, lab casework, plumbing fixtures, resinous flooring and paint.
