SPW Craftsmanship
Key design features included a high-end reception desk area which the team QA/QC’d by making various visits to the casework shop prior to bringing the materials on site. The project had a highly complicated linear wooden ceiling system which consisted of complicated shapes and angles at which it was installed.
The project team utilized Augmented Reality technology to view a 3-dimensional life size model of the space with AR headsets to help with the QA/QC of the product. All of the angles and dimensions for the product were specially modeled by our VDC team via design assistance provided to the architects on the project. We also had custom metal pieces made by one of our high-end casework contractors and brought the architect’s desires to fruition.
Supply Chain Mitigation
This project took place during the height of supply chain issues in 2021. During the project, the wood ceiling product was delayed past the scheduled project completion.
The DPR team leveraged DPR's national supply chain team to mitigate the issue. DPR’s team were able to work with a project supplier in Texas that was providing 100,000-sq.-ft. of the same product to another DPR project. We negotiated a fast-tracked delivery to our Spokane project in conjunction with the buyout of the product for the jobsite in Texas. The product arrived one week after negotiation with the supplier.
