DPR worked with the Palo Alto Medical Foundation in an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) approach to replace an existing 55-year-old medical building located at 301 Old San Francisco Road in Sunnyvale, CA with a fully-modernized, three-level, world-class cancer treatment center. The building houses a linear accelerator, diagnostic imaging center, diagnostic laboratory, patient exam rooms, fifteen infusion stations, medical offices, 250,000-sq.-ft. of below-grade parking and a separate 150-stall above-grade parking structure.

Project Scope
Because this project was next to a residential neighborhood, the residents were understandably concerned about increased construction traffic and noise. DPR developed quick response (QR) code delivery tracker software in-house to keep construction traffic and deliveries off of neighboring streets. Each supplier that brought materials to the worksite had to log in to a special website managed by DPR where they received a delivery map, indicating where not to drive in the neighborhood. This contributed to keeping relationships in the community friendly and open.
