DPR provided construction management services for QTS’ data center in Ashburn, VA. The project brought QTS’ vision to life with a vibrant red entryway including an American flag, wood ceilings and architecture on the first floor, terrazzo flooring throughout and a monumental stair connecting the two floors. Additionally, electronic vehicle charging stations were installed within the newly landscaped parking lot and hardscape areas.

Project
The core and shell project included ground-up construction of a two story, 302,180-sq.-ft data center consisting of building foundations and slabs, structural steel, and precast. The project scope included two first floor data hall buildouts (Data Hall 1100 and Data Hall 1200), two first floor white space buildouts, and one shell space.
Additional architectural and structural scope included front of house lobby, conference and office rooms, cafeteria, fitness room, loading docks, storage rooms, monumental stairs, five structural stairs, three elevators, metal panel, glass and glazing, and millwork. MEP scope includes installation of owner-furnished equipment, lighting, power, HVAC, plumbing, fire alarm, fire sprinkler, security, telecommunication, EPMS and BMS system.
Phase two included one, 48,574-sq.-ft second floor data hall buildout (Data Hall 2100). The project scope included the installation of owner-furnished equipment, raised access flooring, lighting, power, HVAC, plumbing, fire alarm, fire sprinkler, security, telecommunication, EPMS and BMS system.
The project included one, 30,546-sq.-ft second floor data hall buildout (Data Hall 2210) , one 28,441-sq.-ft, second floor data hall white space (Data Hall 2200), office space, and storage space. The project scope included installation of owner-furnished equipment, raised access flooring, lighting, power, HVAC, plumbing, fire alarm, fire sprinkler, security, telecommunication, EPMS and BMS system.
