The design-build Scripps Radiation Therapy Center blended a technically complex, state-of-the-art facility with stunning interior and exterior architectural design. DPR collaborated with the design team and consulting firms to ensure the building was executed and built to the highest standards without compromising the overall design.
Project Scope
The OSHPD-3 facility entailed the construction of a new 45,420-sq.-ft. building shell and a 30,000-sq.-ft. cancer treatment center build-out. The facility features one of the most advanced technologies of its kind in the world for cancer treatment. Situated on an eight-acre site, the facility includes:
- One TrueBeam STx linear accelerator
- Two Clinac linear accelerators
- 16-slice CT simulator with 4-D imaging capability
- Patient education resource library
- Clinical research space
- Healing garden
- Patient lockers and gowning areas
- Physician offices
DPR completed the project with zero defects.
