SkySong 5, ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center | Scottsdale, Arizona
ASU Scottsdale Innovation Center celebrated its fifth Class A office building with the opening of SkySong 5. The six-story project is the tallest building on the property yet bringing the square footage to 868,457-sq.-ft. of commercial buildings.
Project Scope
The design of SkySong 5 continues the trend of each building possessing unique and distinctive features, offering extensive outdoor work with a large second-story outdoor patio and event space, meeting spaces, and public art features. In addition to the new building, an accompanying parking structure was built and tenant improvements happened on levels 2, 3, 4, and 5 were completed simultaneously.
The schedule and phasing part of the project had to be a consistent conversation in order to keep the building functional during tenant improvements. At the busiest time of the project, you could find over 115 workers on site, including DPR’s Self-Perform Work team who provided all the concrete footings and hardscapes, exterior and interior framing, and drywall work.
Like the other buildings, SkySong 5 has met LEED® certification standards for green building practices and is certified LEED® Gold.
